Changes on some public transport routes as of September 1
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that as of September 1, 2019, new working day and holiday schedules will be introduced on some public transport routes.
The following schedules will be changed as of September 1 on some public transport routes due to the end of holidays and vacations, which causes an increase in the passenger flow:
- on working days (as of 02.09) - on bus routes No. 1, 9, 12, 23, 25, 26, 29, 37, 40 and 41, on tram routes No. 1, 3, 7 and 9, and on trolleybus routes No. 3, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 25;
- on holidays (as of 01.09) - on bus route No. 29, tram route No. 7, and on trolleybus routes No. 12 and 15.
Bus route No. 19 will be closed. Bus No. 29 will now go by the main route „Mežciems - Vecmīlgrāvis” and all its runs will go through Bukulti. See the map here.
As the summer season is ending, schedules of some bus routes will be changed as of September 2. The following schedules will be changed:
Bus No. 30 will run on working days only, like before.
The following bus stops will also change their names as of September 1:
- on bus route No. 14 and minibus route No. 204, stop „Strazdumuiža boarding school” will change name to „Strazdumuiža secondary school” in both directions;
- on bus routes No. 40, 44, 46, 56 and 60, on minibus route No. 233 and on night bus route No. 10, stop „Secondary school No. 94” will change name to „Ziepniekkalns secondary school” in both directions;
- on bus routes 4z and 56, and on minibus route No. 241, stop „Anniņmuiža grammar school” will change name to „Anniņmuiža secondary school” in both directions;
- on bus routes 7 and 55, stop „Mārupe secondary school” will change name to „Mārupe grammar school” in both directions;
- on bus route No. 47, stop „Gaisma elementary boarding-school” will change name to „Gaisma elementary school” in both directions;
- on trolleybus route No. 16, stop „Linezers hospital” will change name to „Linezers” in both directions.
As of Sunday, September 1, schedules of some minibuses will be changed, as well as one minibus route:
- minibus No. 241 will run in the territory of Riga International Airport like bus No. 22 and express bus No. 322;
- minibus No. 263 will run from the „Mežciems” terminal to Zasulauka Street, then along Zasulauka Street, Jūrkalnes Street to terminal „Zasulauks depot”. From Šampēteris, the minibus will run along Jūrkalnes Street, Zasulauka Street, Šampētera Street and further by the route.
- Express bus No. 300 will run as it did before June 1, 2019.
